Tulia, Texas—Charles McCaslin, 81, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019 at his home in Canyon. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 29, 2019 in the Harvest Christian Fellowship Church in Amarillo with Pastor Curtis House and Rev. Tommy Ewing officiating. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 pm Monday, January 28, 2019 at the funeral home in Tulia.
Charles Daniel McCaslin was born on October 12, 1937 in Archer City, Texas to Kinney and Myrtle McCaslin. He graduated Happy High School in 1956. He married Mary Jane Broach on November 27, 1957. He worked at Wallace Funeral Home, he was a farmer and rancher, worked for the Methodist Home Boys Ranch, Happy ISD, Tulia Ambulance Service and was self employed. He was a member of the Harvest Christian Fellowship Church in Amarillo.
He is preceded in death by his parents: K.I. and Myrtle McCaslin, his sister and brother-in-law: Betty and Phillip Myers, his brothers and sisters-in-law: Billy and Becky McCaslin, Glenn Dee and Geneva Jo McCaslin, his brother: Kenneth McCaslin, a grandson: Adam Hacker and a great grandson: Bryker Hacker.
He is survived by his wife: Mary McCaslin of Canyon, two daughters and sons-in-law: Kim and Greg Hacker of Canyon and Christy and Rusty Boman of Happy, one son and daughter-in-law: Ryan and Nikky McCaslin of Arlington, one goddaughter: Belynda Yarber, one sister and brother-in-law: JoAnn and Tommy Ewing of Tulia, one sister-in-law: Opal McCaslin of Tulia, one brother-in-law: Tom Broach of Amarillo, his grandkids: Jamin Hacker and wife Sarah of Canyon, Jordan Hacker and wife Chelsey of Canyon, Cherese Kinser and husband Daniel of Canyon, Lindsey Swick and husband Scott of Canyon, Mark Hacker of Canyon, Brad Boman and wife Lindsey of Canyon, Kade Boman and wife Darcie of Lubbock, Kayli Henderson and husband Daniel of Cibolo, Tanner Boman of Happy, Kobe McCaslin of Austin, Dante McCaslin of Arlington, and Alani McCaslin of Arlington, his great grandkids: Libby, Gideon, AuriAnna, Brox, Bracen, Zaidee and Zeke Hacker, Dathan, Caleb, Zadok and Briella Kinser, Ben, Adam, Kolt, Daniel, Kyson and Lily Swick, Brooklyn, Brayden, and Brelee Boman, Rylan and Grayson Wilhelm and Gabriel and Amelia Henderson and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Harvest Christian Fellowship, 4808 S. Bonham, Amarillo, Texas 79110.
