Clyde Mitchell (Plainview)

Clyde Mitchell, 93, of Plainview passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 21, 2020 in Parklawn Memorial Gardens with Phillip Hamilton, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church and Randy Lynn Mitchell officiating.  Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Clyde was born on June 10, 1927 in Mountain View, Arkansas to Wayne Bundt and Lille (Maynard) Mitchell. He grew up in Arkansas and did many things throughout his life but he really enjoyed farming. He married Jean Craft in 1958. Clyde had a heart for animals and loved them. He enjoyed playing dominoes and all kinds of games with his family and grandchildren. Clyde loved fishing and bird hunting. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Plainview.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his son, Randy Mitchell, four brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include his stepson, Gene Craft of Plainview; his brothers, Darrell Mitchell and Jim Mitchell, both of California, six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund, 1700 N IH-27, Plainview, TX 79072 or Runningwater Draw Care Center, 800 13th Street, Olton, TX 79064.
