Dan Arnold Sarver (Plainview)

Dan Sarver, 72, of Plainview passed away Monday, December 10, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Plainview Family Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Doug Yates officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.  A visitation will be held 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors.    He was born June 22, 1946 in Plainview, Texas to William and Effie Sarver. He grew up and attended schools in Plainview. He started working at a very young age. He married Rita Jo Word on July 3, 1965 in Plainview. He worked in the grocery industry for many years and later as s salesman for the last thirty years. He was a hard worker and loved to go grocery shopping and taking his family out to eat. He also enjoyed bowling.   He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and three sisters.   He is survived by his two sons, Barry Sarver and wife Mary of Plainview and Mike Sarver and wife Kristi of Amarillo; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.   Memorials may be sent to St. Jude’s Children Hospital at www.stjude.org
