Tulia, Texas-David Lyndsey George was born on November 9, 1951 to Bill and Jetuan George of Tulia. David worked at Tulia Auto Parts for over 30 years. He also drove a truck for a few years and finished his working career as a Project Manager for Analytical Labs for his brother in law, Ray Jennings. Anyone who knew David would tell you that he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He had a quick wit and great sense of humor. He loved to tell "blonde jokes" and often had a hard time getting the punch line out because he was laughing so hard. He also enjoyed fly fishing and going to the mountains. David loved his nieces and nephews. He lit up when they were around and teased them constantly. They all have fond memories of their Uncle David. David gave his life to the Lord in September 1998. He went to the hospital where his mother was about to be taken back for open heart surgery and told her that he had been baptized that morning. The family rejoiced along with the angels in heaven. David passed from this life to the next on July 24, 2020 after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Jetuan George and a nephew, Newly Blocker. He was survived by 3 sisters, Melody Jennings and husband Ray, of Tulia; Mickie Deal and husband Jack of Statesboro, GA; Monica Barror and husband Lloyd of Midland, TX. One nephew, Shane Jennings of Abilene, TX; 5 nieces, Shana Bailey of Tulia, TX; Leah Echols of Midland, TX; Tiffany Deal of Savannah, GA; Tara Herring of Midland, TX; and Chelsi Gilbert of Midland, TX. 14 great nieces and nephews and 2 great-great nephews.
