Diann Dougherty (Tulia)

Etta Diann Dougherty, 91, stepped into eternity on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM February 3, 2025 in the First Baptist Church with Rev. John Gillespie officiating and with burial following at Rose Hill Cemetery. Services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Diann was born on Oct 17, 1933 to Maude Lela (Drahn) and Lorahn Lee Crawford in Hereford, Texas. She attended schools in Pampa, Texas.

Diann married the love of her life, Harold Glyn Dougherty on Nov 2, 1950 in Clovis, New Mexico. They were married 60 years until his passing in 2010. Diann and Harold had four children and made their home in Yuma, Arizona; Colorado Springs, Colorado; Sacramento, California; Pampa, Texas; Liberal, Kansas; and Tulia, Texas.

Diann was a voracious reader and was heart broken when Macular Degeneration took that pleasure from her. She loved her cats and her “grand” pets. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Tulia, Tx. She was looked after and loved by many church and community friends.

Diann is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold, three sisters, and two brothers in law.

Diann is survived by her four children: son, David Dougherty and wife, Charlene of Oak Creek, Colorado; daughter, Linda Andreotta and husband, James “Butch”, of Liberal, Kansas; son, Kevin Dougherty and wife, Jane, of Canyon, Texas; and daughter, Shannon Stinnett and husband, Mike, of Grand Prairie, Texas; and grandchildren: Leisa Robinson, Lance Dougherty, Chance Wait, Channing Wait, 5 step-grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and 5 nieces.

Diann loved her church. She asked that memorials be sent to the Benevolence Fund at First Baptist Church, 101 N Crosby Avenue, Tulia, Texas 79088.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the First Baptist Church of Tulia, the Palermo family and all her community friends for their loving kindness of Diann. May God bless you for your kindness.
