Don Morris (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas-Don Morris, 78, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ernie McGaughey officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 pm Monday at Kornerstone.

Don was born on February 10, 1940, in Tulia to Loyd and Katy (Huxford) Morris. He graduated from Tulia High School in 1958 and always wanted to work in the family business. Don married Donna Rucker on April 18, 1962, and they became part-owners of Huxford's Department Store in 1963. He later worked for TDCJ for 12 years where he retired. The Morris family attended the First Presbyterian Church of Tulia.

He is survived by his wife: Donna Morris of Tulia, two daughters: Amy Burress and husband Tom and their children: Brett and wife Jenna, Lacy and husband Alistair and Spencer; Susan McHone and husband Gary and their children: Justin and wife Alexis, Alexi and husband Cristian, Braughn, Hailey, Ryan and Eryn and one son: Trent Morris and wife Michele and their children: Shelby and Maci and one brother: Loyd Dean Morris and wife Frances.

Memorials may be made to the Tulia Ministerial Alliance.
