Doris Ann Steffens (Plainview)

Doris Ann Steffens, 59, of Sundown passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023. Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth, Texas with Father Balaswamy Polisetti officiating and Deacons Bob Birkenfeld and Joe Hochstein assisting. Burial will follow in the Nazareth Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview, Texas.

A Rosary will be held 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth, Texas.

Doris was born on September 17, 1963 in Slaton, Texas to Alphonse and Elizabeth Steffens. She received her first communion at Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth. She loved Jesus, attending church and worshiping her savoir. She also loved singing, listening to Johnny Cash, and stuffed animals and baby dolls. Doris' idea of giving you a hug was her patting your hair.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alphonse and Elizabeth Steffens; her sister, Gladys Fortenberry and her brother-in-law, Chris Wethington.

She is survived by her brothers, Victor Steffens and wife Veronica of Dimmitt, Texas, Val Steffens and wife Laura of Olton, Texas, Richard Steffens of Apache Junction, Arizona, Howard Steffens and wife Jaunean of Lockney, Texas, David Steffens and wife Becky of Plainview, Texas; one sister, Teresa Wethington of Nacogdoches and numerous nieces and nephews.
