Doris Vineyard (Plainview)

Doris Vineyard, 83, of Plainview passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Kress Baptist Church in Kress with Will Fish, pastor officiating.  Burial will follow in the Kress Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. 

A visitation will be held Friday evening, December 28, 2018 from 6:00-7:00 P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview.  

Doris was born on October 28, 1935 in Tuxedo, Texas to Harold and Alma (Smith) Bostick.  She married Ben Vineyard on August 12, 1952.  

She is preceded in death by her husband Ben on February 15, 2018; her parents; her sister, Nita Grace Armstrong. 

Doris is survived by her sons, Kent Vineyard and wife Jill of Lubbock, TX, Bryan Vineyard and wife Kim of Southlake, TX; grandchildren, Megan Prascher and husband Matt, Clint Vineyard and wife Kristin; great grandchildren, Sam and Shelby Prascher, nieces Linda Castille of Beech Grove, TN, Kathie Gorman of Cortez, CO.  

The family wishes to thank Doris’s caretakers, Dr. Thahir Farzan, Harrington Cancer Center, and Beehive Homes.
