Dorothy Faye Terrell Glover (Plainview)

Dorothy Faye Terrell Glover, age 85, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on June 26, 2018 at her home in Lake Kiowa, Texas after a prolonged battle with multiple myeloma. She was born on July 28, 1932 on a farm in Hale County near Kress, Texas. She was a 1949 graduate of Plainview High School and a 1953 graduate of Texas Tech University in Home Economics. Later she went back to Texas Tech to get her teaching certification in elementary education. She taught in Idalou Schools, both in the first grade and in remedial reading, for 17 years. She was married on December 29, 1951 to Erwin Earl “Buster” Glover of Lubbock, Texas for almost 57 years. He passed away on December 11, 2008. They enjoyed life together on their farm near Lubbock for over 45 years. Her goal in life was to be the best mother and homemaker that she could possibly be. She was a loving and caring mother and her three sons all obtained doctoral degrees because of her encouragement and support. She was active in church and enjoyed playing the piano as unto the Lord for the local congregation near Lake Kiowa, Texas. Dorothy is survived by her three sons, Mark of Dallas, Texas, Kerry and wife Joann of Plano and Cross Roads, Texas, and Lanny and wife Wendy of Jackson, Mississippi, along with 13 grandchildren which are Luke, Sharon, David, Robert, Kathleen, Russell, Virginia, Dorothy Claire, Daniel, Mary, Lydia, Stephen and Christina Glover, and 4 great grandchildren, Christopher, Savannah, Molly and Vivian. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Clayton and Faye Terrell of Plainview, Texas and two brothers, Cloyce Terrell of Canyon, Texas and Floyd Terrell of Plainview, Texas.

The family will receive friends at Kornerstone Funeral Directors, 3605 SW 3^rd Street, Plainview, Texas on Friday, June 29, 2018, from 6:00-8:00 PM for a viewing and the funeral will be on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Lake Kiowa Lodge, 905 Kiowa Dr W, Gainesville, TX 76240, on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 10:00 AM.
