Tulia, Texas—Doyal Gore, 85, passed away on Saturday, February 29, 2020 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church in Tulia. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2020 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the funeral home.
Doyal was born on April 30, 1934 in Snyder, Oklahoma to Isaac Lee and Willie Mae Gore. He attended schools in Vian, Oklahoma. He married Colleen Isham on June 29, 1952 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He worked as a telephone lineman for a few years. Then in Amarillo he worked as a milk deliveryman for a few years. Then he moved to Tulia and farmed for Harvey Milner. He also was the farm manager for Tulia Feed Lot for numerous years and then went to farm for Carroll Welch. Colleen passed away on April 23, 2006. He later married June Andrews in April 2007. She died August 9, 2016. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife: Colleen Gore, his second wife: June Gore, one sister: Sylvia Mae Stevens and six brothers: Roy Gore, Charlie Gore, Ray Gore, Rex Gore, Ivan Gore and Joy Gore.
He is survived by one daughter: Vickie Moss of Amarillo, two sons: Randy Gore and wife Neta of Tulia and Glenn Gore and wife Lisa of Tulia, 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
