Earlean Johnson (Plainview)

Earlean Johnson, 78, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Happy Union Baptist Church with Richard Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held at 6 to 8 P.M. on Friday, March 30, 2018 at the funeral home. Earlean Johnson was born to the late Ivy and Spenser Roberts on July 15, 1939 in Saint Augustine, TX. She married Hubert Johnson on January 28, 1968 in Plainview, TX. Earlean attended school in Silverton, TX and later went on to achieve her GED. It was her heart’s desire to help and serve others. She was a devoted member of Happy Union Baptist Church in Plainview, TX where she served as head usher for decades. She spent her last years serving her community by volunteering and helping the sick and shut-in.   Earlean was preceded in death by her husband Hubert Johnson and her parents  Ivy and Spenser Roberts; sisters Hattie Gallington, Nettie Brigham, Lottie Carter, and Mamie Runnells and brothers Marvin Roberts and Hershel Roberts. She is survived by a son Milton Roberts of Amarillo; a daughter-in-law, Jessie Murry; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
