Eryberto ”Eddie" Subealdea (Tulia)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father & brother Eryberto” Eddie” Subealdea on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Hector Madrigal officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

 A rosary will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, October 25, 2024 in the Kornerstone Chapel.

 Eddie was born on July 29,1969 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Eleazar Sr. and Consuelo Subealdea. Eddie was a graduate of Tulia High School and obtained his bachelor's from Wayland Baptist University.

Eddie married Michelle Chavez on December 18, 1993 at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Tulia. Eddie and Michelle would have been married 31 years this December.

Eddie was employed for 31 years as Chief Juvenile Probation Officer for Hale County.

During the 31 years, Eddie was also employed with Swisher and Castro County. Throughout his tenure as Chief, Eddie received numerous awards and grants which benefited at risk youth in his community. Eddie was known for his high level of professionalism, character and having a can-do attitude. Eddie also served on the Tulia ISD School Board for 17 years.

 Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Eleazar Sr. and Consuelo Subealdea and his in-laws, Manuel and Maria Chavez, Jr.

 Eddie is survived by his wife, Michelle Subealdea; a son and daughter-in-law, Carlos and Anne Subealdea; his brothers & sisters, Jaime & Ramona Subealdea, Eleazar Jr. & Mandy Subealdea, Eloy & Rosalinda Subealdea, Norma & Martin Cruz, Maria Elena & Joe David Gomez, Frank & Grace Subealdea and Baldemar & Lilly Subealdea and numerous nieces and nephews.
