Felipa Rodriguez (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas-Felipa Rodriguez, 75, died on Monday, November 16, 2020. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, November 20, 2020 in the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

A rosary will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the funeral home.

Felipa was born in Edmonson, Texas on May 26, 1945 to Francisco and Juanita Rocha. She graduated from Tulia High School in 1962. She married Jose M. Rodriguez on December 23, 1967. Together they had four children Terrie, Vicky, Joe Rey, and Joel. Felipa was employed by Tulia ISD for 32 years as a Teachers assistant. She retired in December 2015 to spend more time with her family. She was a faithful member of the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit. Those who knew Felipa knew she loved spending time with her family, shopping, jewelry, was very fashionable, and the life of any party. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Zeke Rocha and John Rocha.
Her family includes: her husband Jose Rodriguez of Tulia, two daughters: Terrie Rodriguez and Santos Martinez of Tulia, Vicky Huerta and husband Michael of Tulia, two sons: Joe Rey Rodriguez and wife Janice of Amarillo, Joel Rodriguez and wife Kirby of Tulia, seven grandchildren: Roman Garza, Alexandria Garza, Adrian Rodriguez, Paris Rodriguez, Isabella Rodriguez, Trinity Huerta, and Abreigh Rodriguez, two great grandchildren: Noah Garza and Anjelik Garza, two brothers: Frank Rocha Jr. and wife Juanita of Amarillo and Robert Rocha and wife Martha of Tulia, three sisters: Josephine Cortez of Bridgeport, Lola Garcia and late husband Eugene of Kyle, and Mary Ann and husband Lupe of Borger.
