Fernando Garcia, 66, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A rosary will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Monday, March 12, 2018 at the funeral home. Mr. Garcia was born on May 30, 1951 in San Lois Potosi, Mexico to Gabino & Esperanza Fonseca Garcia. He married Juliana Cruz on November 30, 1969. He moved to Plainview on December 12, 1973. Mr. Garcia worked for Jesse Pinkerton for 25 years before fulfilling his dream of becoming a self employed farmer in 2004. He loved his wife dearly and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. He was a humble Godly man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved farming and gardening and was always generous and giving to others. Mr. Garcia was a gentle, kind, caring and loving son, husband, father, grandfather and brother. He leaves behind a wonderful legacy that will never be forgotten. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by one sister, Epifania Sustaita. He is survived by his wife, Juliana Garcia of Plainview; one son, Fernando Garcia, Jr. of Kansas City Kansas; five daughters, Anita Garcia & husband Jose of Plainview, Rosie Licerio & husband Gerardo of Plainview, Alicia Hernandez & husband Gustavo of Plainview, Dora Feagley & husband Brian of Newburgh, IN and Cathy Banda & husband Manuel of Plainview; his parents, Gabino & Esperanza Garcia; one brother, Juan Garcia; seven sisters, Candelaria Sustaita, Guadalupe Alcozer, Irma Martinez, Socorro Lopez, Apolonia Morales, Nancy Garcia and Dora Rodriguez; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. We love you! Lo queremos mucho!
