Fidel Amaya (Plainview)

Fidel Amaya, 77, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father George Poonely officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview, Texas. A rosary will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at the funeral home. Mr. Amaya was born on April 23, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas to Severo & Petra (Martinez) Amaya. He married San Juanita Garcia on December 11, 1971 in McKinney, Texas. She preceded him in death on September 26, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, San Juanita Amaya and one sister, Cecelia Amaya. Fidel is survived by two daughters, Cecilia Amaya and Francis Amaya both of Hale Center, TX; two brothers, Domingo Amaya of San Antonio, TX and Leonard Amaya of Plainview, TX and one sister, Carmen Lopez of Olton, TX.
