Tulia, Texas—Fidencio “Dan” Moreno, 71, died on Saturday, November 28, 2020 in Denver. Graveside services will held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 16, 2020 in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Dan was born Fidencio Moreno on May 23, 1949 in San Angelo to Teodoro and Maria Moreno. He graduated from Flomot High School, Clarendon College, and the Amarillo College Police Academy. He married Mary Lou Delgado on January 23, 1971 in Matador. They moved to Tulia in 1971 and he worked for TxDOT for 30 years and retired then worked for CHS, a chemical distribution company for 12 years, then retired again. He loved to play the guitar, go bowling and golf. He was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 12534 Tulia Chapter as well as a member of the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit. He is preceded in death by his mother and an infant son: Fidencio Moreno, Jr. He is survived by his wife: Mary Lou Moreno of Tulia, two daughters: Lucy Moreno of Del City, Oklahoma and Tina West and husband Thomas of Virginia Beach, Virginia, six grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, his father: Teodoro Moreno of Flomot, one brother: Roy Moreno and wife Benita of Matador, three sisters: Dora Cruz and husband Rene of Crosbyton, Gloria Rodriguez and husband Johnny of Plainview and Vicky Cruz of Tulia.
