Florabel Tisdel (Plainview)

Florabel Tisdel, 92, formerly of Plainview passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024 in Plano, Texas. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 1, 2024 in the Family Life Chapel of the First Baptist Church with Mr. Lanny Voss officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Florabel was born on January 13, 1932 in Westlake, Louisiana to Hugh and Willie Teague. She married Malcolm Tisdel on March 22, 1951 in Plainview. She served as a school teacher for 40 years and taught at Plainview High School. She was also a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Plainview. Florabel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, David Patrick Tisdel and brother, Hugh Grady Teague Jr.. Survivors include her son, Michael Tisdel and his wife Scottie of Plano; grandson, Ian Tisdel of Plano; and two nieces, Kathleen Carter of Midland and Carol Sparks of Midland.
