Floyd Franklin Foster Jr., a beloved husband, father, and community member of Kress, TX, passed away at the age of 92. Funeral services will be held at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. with Jim Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview. The community is invited to join the celebration of his life. Floyd was born on May 17, 1931 to Floy and Joyce Foster in Whitfield, Texas. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1951. Floyd married the love of his life, Frances Reed, on August 3, 1956 and has been married for 67 years. He spent time helping his father as a dedicated farmer in the Claytonville community. Floyd also served as a pilot for the Civil Air Patrol and bravely fought in the Korean War. His unwavering patriotism and love for his country was an evident part of his life. He loved auctions and flea markets, and his skills as a master electrician were well-known and generously shared his skills with the community. Floyd will be fondly remembered for his dedication to his family, community, and country and will be missed by many friends and family. Floyd is preceded in death by his parents, Floy and Joyce Foster; sister, Alene Barrett, and sister Mildred Pruitt. Floyd is survived by his loving wife, Frances Foster; son, Glenn Foster and wife Mary of Kress, TX; granddaughter, Nicole Warner and husband Brian of Lubbock, TX; grandson, Eric Foster of Lubbock, TX; and five great-grandchildren, Haiden Ballejo, Autumn Ballejo, Ryan Foster, Kaylee Foster, and Waylon Foster.
