Francis Looney (Tulia)

Francis Looney, 96, of Happy passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Cremation services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Francis was born on April 2, 1929 in Amarillo to Marcus and Francis (Eoff) Looney. He married June Geraldine Mundell on February 22, 1947. He worked for the Red Bull Trucking and the Panhandle Fruit Company. They moved to Happy, Texas in the early 1980’s as he farmed and ranched.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marcus and Francis Looney; his wife, June Looney; his daughter, Linda Looney Hodges; his brother, Jack Looney and his sister, Delma Looney.

He is survived by his son, Butch Looney; his granddaughter, Jennifer Looney Hermosillo and adopted son and daughter, Ross and Tonya James.
