Francisco Ramirez (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Francisco Ramirez, 70, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020. Funeral services for “family only” will be held on Monday, April 6, 2020. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Francisco was born on December 3, 1949 in Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico to Arnoldo and Ana Maria Ruiz Ramirez. He grew up in Durango, Mexico. He moved to this area in 1970. He started farming for Tuffy Thompson and worked for Roll-A-Cone for 37 years from 1987 to 2014 when he retired. He married Sylvia Gaitan on October 28, 1972. He loved spending time with his wife and kids and especially his grandchildren. He had a passion for boxing that started as a kid in Mexico where he participated in boxing as a sport.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Angel Ramirez, one sister: Ana Berta and one great grandson: Jose Ray Rosales.

His family includes his wife: Sylvia Ramirez of Tulia, their children: Frank Ramirez and wife Cassie, Ana Rosales and husband Marcial, Alfredo Ramirez and wife Michell and Monica Brown and husband Brandon all of Tulia. Five brothers: Alfredo, Arnoldo, Ernesto, Ignacio and Jesus, two sisters: Lourdes Saldana and Raquel Michell and 16 grandchildren.
