Frank Olguin, 75, passed away on July 24, 2018. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 27, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Plainview Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Rosary will be held 7:00 P.M. Thursday evening, July 26, 2018 at the Kornerstone Chapel. He was born May 10, 1943 in Fowler, Colorado to Manuel and Luisa (Castillo) Olguin. Frank grew up in Abernathy and attended schools in New Deal and Abernathy. He married Hilda Gonzales on June 14, 1969. He started working in the meat packing industry at Lee’s Tasty Sausage in Abernathy. He later worked for Jimmy Dean Sausage and Cargill for many years. He retired in 2008. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Hilda Olguin of Plainview; a daughter, Veronica Smithson and husband Rick of Amarillo; a son, Gabriel Olguin and wife Melissa of Plainview; two brothers, Antonio Olguin and Ruben Olguin; seven sisters, Josepha Soto, Margaret Olivas, Dominga Olguin, Irene Betancur, Adelina Figueroa, Ramona Olguin, Lupe Hernandez; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
