Frankie Lee George, 91, of Tulia passed away on April 14, 2020 in Amarillo. Private family services will be held on Thursday afternoon in the Kornerstone Chapel. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Frankie was born on June 20, 1928 in Swisher County, Texas to Joseph and Savannah Richardson. She grew up in Swisher County. She married Laurice “Fuzz” George on February 1, 1948. They moved to the Vigo Park Community in the 1960’s. She was active in Farming and Ranching with her husband for many years. She later owned and operated The Pottery and Indian Shop in Tulia for many years. She was a member of the Vigo Park Baptist Church where she taught a children’s Sunday school class.

Frankie was preceded in death by her husband, Fuzz George; parents, Joseph and Savannah Richardson; four brothers, Jack, Odie, Glenn, and Ray Richardson.

Survivors include her two sons, Steve George and wife Mary of Florence, Montana, Paul George and wife Lottie of Amarillo; two sisters, Willie Sharp of Burlington, Colorado, Lou Hutson of Gainsville; three grandchildren, Torrie George, Adam Lindsey, Justin George; and seven great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the Rose Hill Cemetery, P.O. Box 116, Tulia, Texas 79088.
