Freada Gail Warren (Plainview)

Freada Gail Warren left this earthly life to be in the arms of her Heavenly Father on November 11, 2024. After over fourteen years of battling Cystic Fibrosis, she finally won the battle and is now free. 

Freada was born on August 13, 1952, in Portales, NM to her loving parents, Sam and Lillian Thompson. She grew up in Plainview, Texas and attended Plainview schools, graduating from Plainview High School in 1971. She attended Arlington Baptist Seminary for two years. She then returned home and went to work at Woods and Davenport Insurance Agency where she met the love her life, Mark Warren. 

Freada and Mark were married on July 5, 1980, in Plainview, Texas. Together, she and Mark worked in the insurance industry serving communities from El Paso to Alburquerque to Amarillo and back to Plainview, where they owned the Independent Insurance Agents of Plainview agency for fifteen years. 

They welcomed their son, Clay Randall Warren on April 22, 1984, while in Albuquerque, NM. Clay was the pride and joy of her life. 

Freada served in many capacities in the community from Sunday school teacher to civic organizations and boards. One of her greatest attributes was to speak encouragement to others when they needed it the most and to look for opportunities to bless them. 

She is preceded in death by her son, Clay Warren in 2002; her parents, Sam and Lillian Thompson; and her brother, Troy Thompson.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Warren; her brother, Dale and wife, Gayla of Amarillo, Texas; her sister Shirley Lee and husband, Greg of Arlington, Texas; and her godson, Ethan Abbott of Lubbock, Texas, and many nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm, November 14, 2024 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.  A memorial services will be held 10:00 am Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Harvest Christian Fellowship.  Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.
