Freddie Medellin (Tulia)

Freddie was born October 15, 1971, and passed away at the age of 52 on March 19, 2024.  He was born to Manuel and Guadalupe Medellin along with his twin brother Jesse Medellin. Freddie was a bachelor, but the love he had for his family and others was evident in his daily life.  He would walk everywhere and was known to help people along the way.  He was always willing and loved to spend time with others whether to just hang out, help out, or clean.  He also loved football.

One of the best things about Freddie was the love that he had for his nieces and nephews.  He was always proud of them and would encourage them to do their best at things.  He loved spending time with them and acting goofy.  He had a laugh that was unique because you knew he was laughing, but it also sounded like he was giggling.

Around town, people would see him walking and smiling.  He was nicknamed “Smiley” by some.  He will surely be missed by all.

Freddie was preceded in death by his dad, Manuel Medellin, mom, Guadalupe Medellin , sister, Janie Medellin, and brothers Robert Medellin and Jimmy Medellin. He is survived by 6 brothers Lupe, Joe, Ray, Manuel, Edward (Perla), Jesse and 3 sisters Ester Martinez (Primitivo), Rachel Chavez (Matias), and Yolanda Luna (Jose Cisneros). He also had a multitude of nephews and nieces.

Visitation/Rosary will be Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 6 – 8 p.m. Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Church of the Holy Spirit with Fr. Hector Madrigal as celebrant.
