Garland Lee Green, 51, of Tulia passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Cremation services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.
Garland had an exceptional love for mechanics, which was evidenced by his dedication to working on cars. One of his proudest achievements was building his own car, a testament to his skill and commitment.
In addition to his work as a mechanic, he had a special interest in sound systems, often taking stereos apart to enhance their performance. His knack for assembling various objects into innovative projects showcased his ingenuity and passion for hands-on creativity.
When not engaged in his projects, he enjoyed riding his bicycle around town, where he appreciated the beauty of his surroundings. His fondness for chocolate Dr Pepper was another delightful aspect of his personality that brought him joy.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Nina Mae Johnston; grandparents, Cordie Johnston and Bufford Johnston; Aunt and Uncle, Melissa Johnston and Bradford Johnston, & uncle Jimmy Johnston.
He is survived by his daughter, Emily Scott; his sisters, Malisa Duncan and husband James Smith and Annie Johnston and husband John Lowry; his father, Jerry Lee Green; his nephews and nieces, Ashley Pittman, Cera Fuentes & husband Jordan, Braden Fuentes and wife Liz, Cheyenne Johnston, Cereniti Johnston; his step-father Johnny White and his family; daughter, Melinda Floyd and her children, Brandy Pierce and husband Brandon, Curtis Floyd and wife Danelle; his step- mother, Lisa Green; Melinda's great grandkids, Kiera Pierce and Kreed Pierce.
