Gladys Irene Offield (Plainview)

Gladys Offield, 92, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 19, 2018 at Kornerstone Chapel with Dee Teel of Northwest Church of Christ officiating. A graveside service will be at 3:00 P.M. at Spur Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview Gladys was born on July 18, 1925 in Spur, Texas to Joy Clayton and Della (Thomasson) Hoover. She married Henry “Frank” Offield on July 19, 1941 in Dickens, Texas by the same preacher that married her parents. He passed away on October 29, 1992. She married Lawrence Bedwell on June 14, 1995 at Amarillo Street Church of Christ in Plainview, Texas. He passed away on July 13, 2003. She was baptized at the age of twelve in a dirt tank southeast of Spur and was a member of the Church of Christ for over 80 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, a son, Joe Don Offield, grandsons, Bradley Allan Offield, Jerry Lee Offield, sisters, Loretta Leavelle, Roxie Faye Thomasson and brother-in-law, Lessly Thomasson. She is survived by a son, Joy Offield and wife Holly of Lone Grove, OK; a daughter-in-law, Judy Offield of Plainview; five grandchildren, Donnie Offield, Michelle Offield, Tamara Mimms, Tiffany Barnes, Tyson Offield and eight great grandchildren, Brandon, Cody, Hagen, Macie, Kelton, Matlin, Campbell, and Mesa; and a host of nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the staff of Westridge Manor for nearly 20 years of love and compassion. Pat, Connie, Rose, Linda, Veronica, Dolores, Nati, Sandra, Leti and so many more.
