Guadalupe Beltran

Guadalupe Beltran, 79, of Plainview, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 24, 2025 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Plainview, Texas with Father George Poonely officiating. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park in Plainview, Texas. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview, Texas.

A rosary will be held at 6:00 P.M. Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview, Texas.

Guadalupe was born on September 13, 1954 in Robstown, Texas to Manuel and Petra Pineda. She married Benito Beltran on August 7, 1987. Guadalupe dedicated her life to her family and community. She worked as a cook for over 25 years at Furr's Cafeteria, where everyone knew her as “Grandma”. Guadalupe enjoyed sewing and dancing, she was known for dancing around her house along with her family. Her family was her greatest treasure. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Guadalupe’s home was a gathering place filled with laughter, delicious food and love. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed cooking for her family.

Guadalupe is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Petra Pineda; her son, Paul Maldonado; one daughter, Theresa Favila; one son-in-law, Toby Ramos; one brother, Joe Pineda; two sisters, Manuela Galvan and Angelita Castillo.

She is survived by her husband, Benito Beltran of Plainview, Texas; two sons, Jerry Maldonado of Plainview, Texas, Peter Garcia of Austin, Texas; three daughters, Angelica Wispert of Evans, Georgia, Norma Longbine of Leander, Texas, Priscilla Ramos of Floresville, Texas; three brothers, David Pineda, Manuel Pineda, Abel Pineda; two sisters, Maria Garza and Jaine Aguilar and twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
