Guadalupe “Lupe” P. Rios, 88, of Plainview, Texas passed away Friday, November 24, 2023. A funeral mass will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 27, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father George Poonely officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview, Texas. A rosary will be held 6:00 P.M. Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Lupe was born on January 11, 1935 to Justino and Eulalia Perez. She married Joe M. Rios, Jr. on December 10, 1955 in Knox City, Texas. They then moved to Plainview, Texas in 1968. She was an active member at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a part of the Altar Society. Lupe was a loving homemaker, mother, sister and friend. She was so loved and will be missed by many friends and family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Justino and Eulalia Perez; three daughters, Barbara Ann Pauda, Jo Ann Gamboa, Georgia Faye Rios; two brothers, Juan Perez, Domingo Perez, and one sister, Jesse Gresham. She is survived by her Husband, Joe M. Rios, Jr. of Plainview, Texas; one daughter, Cynthia Rios Trevino and husband Jose of Plainview, Texas; one son, Thomas Glenn Rios and wife Norma of Lubbock, Texas; one sister, Rosemary Harrington of Iowa Park, Texas and one brother, Justino “Tino” Perez of Wichita Falls, Texas; grandchildren, Jennifer Fulton, Patrick Pauda, Justin Gamboa, Marisabelle Trevino, Mercedes Trevino, Miranda Trevino, Joseph Rios, and Tristen Rios, and eight great-grandchildren.
