Guadalupe "Lupe" Sanchez (Plainview)

Guadalupe “Lupe” Sanchez, 52, of Amarillo passed away July 30, 2022. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe with Father Bill Anton officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 P.M. at the Kornerstone Chapel on Wednesday, August 3, 2022.

Lupe was born on May 26, 1970 to Raul and Amelia Sanchez. She graduated Plainview High School in 1988 and attended West Texas A & M. She loved music and singing. Painting was her passion and she was phenomenal at it. She lived a very independent life and never let anything stand in her way. She loved going to heavy metal concerts, Metallica being one of her favorite metal groups. She was fortunate enough to attend many concerts. She loved animals and her face lit up when she was around her nieces and nephews. She was a teaching assistant at the schools in Amarillo for many years and loved every minute of it.

Lupe is survived by her parents, Raul and Amelia Sanchez; five brothers, Carlos Raul Sanchez, Jorge Sanchez and girlfriend Julie Cook, Jose Luis Sanchez and wife Ashley Sanchez, Gabriel Sanchez and David Sanchez and wife Samantha Sanchez; five sisters, Silvia Valenzuela and husband Santos, Margarita Sanchez, Gloria Sanchez, Patricia Sanchez and Irma Sanchez; her nieces and nephews, Aaron Valenzuela, Adam Valenzuela, Abel Valenzuela, Meagan Amanda DeLeon and husband Jose DeLeon, Carter Sanchez, Haley and Brandon.
