Harvey Noble Foster (Tulia)

Harvey Noble Foster, 84, born on December 28, 1939, in Tulia, Texas, peacefully passed away on July 8, 2024. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 13, 2024 in the First Baptist Church with Rev. John Gillespie officiating and Rev. Rusty Gray Assisting. Memorial services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. 

He was the son of E.N. and Nora (Ward) Foster. After graduating from Kress High School in 1958, he pursued higher education at West Texas State University for two years. On February 2, 1967, in Tulia, he exchanged vows with his beloved wife, Marilyn Mote, who survives him. Throughout his life, Mr. Foster dedicated himself to farming and ranching across Swisher County while actively engaging in various community commitments. He served as a Swisher County commissioner for 12 years and was deeply involved in the local stock show and 4H programs. His service extended to several boards, including NorWest Bank, Swisher County Appraisal, and the Swisher Memorial Library, where he made significant contributions. He played a vital role in the Swisher County Activities Association. Mr. Foster treasured moments with his family, especially his children, J. Brett and Holly Nicole Foster, and his grandchildren. His passion for agriculture and livestock was evident through his involvement in the stock show and his compassionate work with animals.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his son, J. Brett Foster and his daughter, Holly Nicole Foster.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Foster, his brothers, Dennis Foster and Boyd Foster, his grandchildren, Harleigh Grace Thompson and Steleigh Brett Thompson, his great grandchildren, Ka’Leeah Janae Evans and Khyson James Evans, his adopted daughter, Leslie Wright and his adopted grandchildren, Cutter Johnson and Marilyn McKenzie Standlee

Memorials may be made to the Swisher County 4-H Clubs, 310 W. Broadway, Tulia, Texas or the Swisher County Museum, PO Box 445, Tulia, Texas 79088.
