Holly was born on June 22, 2020 to Darryl Ortiz and Kimberly Leal in Lubbock, Texas. Holly was known for her happy-hearted spirit and infectious laughter. She was a sweet and spirited child who touched the lives of those she came into contact with. She often drew rainbows for her mother and loved picking wild flowers wherever she went. Holly enjoyed making those around her laugh at the silly things she would do. She brought smiles to everyone with her unique “Care Bear wink”. Holly was known for always being barefoot and hated when her mother would put socks and shoes on her feet. If you ever asked Holly if she was ready for school she would quickly reply, “No, I’m gonna stay with my momma and go to work”. Holly loved to ride with her Daddy on the 4 wheeler and loved when her dad grilled beef fajitas for her. She would stay by her fathers side while he was grilling her fajitas whether it was cold or hot outside. Holly dreamed of being a cheerleader just like her cousin, Mattee. She was a carefee spirit and would ran around without a care in the world. Holly loved her "Brother Bear", Daniel very much. She loved going to work at the FlatBill shop. When Holly’s mother would ask her what theme she wanted her fifth birthday party to be, she would reply “Momma I’m not turning five. I’m going to be four forever.”
She is preceded in death by her nephew, Grayson Salinas and one cousin, Mia Elena Maciel.
Holly is survived by her parents, Darryl Ortiz and Kimberly Leal of Lockney; her siblings, Daniel Leal of Lockney, Kaylynn Ortiz of Plainview, Blake Ortiz of Plainview, Madison Ortiz of Denton, Zariah Rendon of Palestine; her maternal grandparents, Cirildo, Jr. and Lillie Leal of Lockney; her paternal grandparents, Joe and Salma Ortiz of Floydada; one nephew, Sirius Salinas; one niece, Alaia Ortiz and numerous aunts, uncle and cousins.
