A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021 in the chapel of Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Tensie was born March 4, 1921 in Booneville, Arkansas to Louis and Era Grau. She married Cecil R. "Bud" McCormick on January 8, 1950 and they moved to Plainview there after. They owned several businesses in town most notably DeeDees the Lady's Shop. After her retirement she enjoyed going on shopping trips to Amarillo or Lubbock and taking short trips to Ruidoso and visiting with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband Bud McCormick, her parents Louis and Era Grau, her sister Fran and husband Ray Brown and her son Ken McCormick. She is survived by her son, Gary McCormick & wife Debbie; daughter-in-law, Mary McCormick; grandchildren, Melissa Brockman & husband Leland, Marty McCormick & wife Dani, Kim McCormick, Kolby McCormick, Chris Adams & wife Kelly, Kevin Adams and Leakay Adams and 8 great grandchildren. A special thanks to Dr. David Wright for his care, love and compassion and Diana Leslie and Sylvia Estrada with Caring Hearts Home Health Care who cared for her with love, kindness and compassion.
