Isabel Valenica Galan (Tulia)

Isabel Valencia Galan, 86, of Tulia passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Chaplain Guy Adkinson officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia. Funeral services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. 

A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 5:30 to 7:00 PM at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. 

Isabel was born on October 15, 1937 in Bryan, Texas to Antonio and Evangelina (Garza) Valencia. She married Waldo Galan on November 3, 1955. Isabel was a hard farm worker and a dedicated crew leader working for Taylor Evans for 40 years. In 1973 her family followed the crops all over the states as migrant workers. Isabel was a music entertainer with her husband called the “El Dueto Los Galan” performing at many events for many years and recorded 3 albums. Isabel lived her life to the fullest, in all ways loving and helping family and friends. She loved singing to her grandchildren, and she joins her husband Waldo as they continue to sing and dance together. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Evangelina Valencia, her husband, Waldo Galan, two brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia Longoria and husband Arthur of San Antonio, Letisia Galan of Tulia, Eugenio Galan and wife Desiree of Chandler, AZ and Evangelina Hila Galan and wife Donna of San Antonio, her sister, Edwina Lichtenberg of Fresno, CA, nine grandchildren, 20 great, grandchildren and 8 great, great grandchildren.
