Jan Waldie (Plainview)

Janette “Jan” Waldie, 81, of Plainview passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021.  A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Steven Carr of Sola Christian Fellowship in Floydada officiating. Burial will follow in the Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

A visitation will be held at 6:00- 7:00 P.M. Monday, December 27, 2021 at Kornerstone Chapel.

Janette was born on November 18, 1940 in McAdoo, Tx to Felton and Opal Potter.

She married Gary G. Waldie on September 26, 1958, in Lubbock. They have lived in Plainview since 1964. Together they shared two children, Kim Swan and husband Jim of Plainview, TX and Mark Waldie of Salt Lake City. She was a longtime member of Parkview Baptist Church. And she loved her family including her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary G. Waldie; her parents and a brother; Darwin Potter

She is survived by a daughter, Kim Swan and husband Jim of Plainview, TX; a son Mark Waldie of Salt Lake City, Utah; a sister Debra Patterson and husband Charles of Plainview, TX; two grandchildren, Hope Swan of Canyon, TX; and Montana Swan and wife Marisol of Plainview, TX.
