Javier Sanchez, Sr. (Plainview)

Javier Sanchez, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Plainview, Texas. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park.

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 25, 2022 at the funeral home.

Javier was born on May 23, 1967 to Marcelino and Amelia Sanchez. He married Paula Moreno on May 24, 1991. Javier was always a man of few words. He showed his love in other ways. He was always ready to extend a helping hand to family and friends in any way he could. He was generous, loyal and brave. In his spare time, Javier enjoyed bike riding, watching sports, fishing and reading his Bible. His canine companions were dear to him. As an adult, he committed himself to Christ and was an active member of his church. Javier was a wonderful husband and a loving father. He was also a very caring father-in-law and grandfather. He will be remembered for all the love he shared with his family and friends. He truly loved each of them, and if you knew him, you knew it. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where he was a member of the Cursillista, Nocturnal Adoration Society and served as a Minister of Holy Communion.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Amelia Canada Arreguin; his grandfather, Enrique Canada and his grandmother, Guadalupe Arreguin Rico.

Javier is survived by his wife Paula Sanchez of Plainview; his son, Javier Sanchez, Jr. & wife Elisha of Wolfforth; his father, Marcelino Sanchez; his siblings, Blanca Esther Guadiana Canada & husband Ines Arreguin Ramirez, Adriana Guadiana Canada, Pedro Canada Arreguin & wife Yolanda Grimaldo Guadiana, Juan Gabriel Canada Arreguin, Miguelangel Canada Arreguin, Moises Canada Arreguin & wife Rosa Gomez, Vicente Sanchez, Veronica Sanchez, Martha Sanchez, Maria Guadalupe Sanchez and Maria Dolores Sanchez and three grandchildren.
