On May 17, 2024, the world lost a remarkable individual, Jeanette Blevins, who touched countless lives during her time on Earth. Born on September 19, 1943, in Clarendon, Texas, Jeanette's journey came to a peaceful close in Plainview, Texas.
Jeanette dedicated 26 years of her life to shaping young minds as a beloved 6th-grade teacher at Ash Elementary. Her passion for education was evident in the lives she influenced and the minds she inspired. Her impact continues to resonate in the hearts of all those she guided.
Outside the classroom, Jeanette found solace in arts and crafts while also finding fulfillment in assisting the Elderly - a reflection of her compassionate and caring nature. Her hobbies not only brought her joy but also brought light to those around her.
Jeanette's memory will be cherished by many, especially by her loving husband, Dee Blevins of Plainview; her son Michael Blevins and his wife Lucy of San Antonio; as well as her four grandchildren - Reagan Brook Blevins of Nashville, TN, Zachary Dee Blevins and his wife Nidia of San Antonio, Heidi Celeste Blevins of Morristown, TN, Caleb Todd Blevins and his wife Alexandra of San Antonio. Additionally, she leaves behind four great-grandchildren - Logan Blevins, Max Gebhart, Mallorie Gebhart, and William Dee Blevins; along with her brother-in-law Tommy Blasingame of Hereford and her dear dog, Lucy2.
Jeanette is reunited in peace with her parents Roy and Cleo Crutchfield; her son Roy Todd Blevins; her sister Joyce Blasingame; and great-grandson Nolan Blevins. Although they mourn her passing here on Earth, they take solace in knowing that Jeanette will forever be a guiding light watching over them.
The celebration of Jeanette's life will take place at various services. A visitation will be held on May 21 at the Plainview - Kornerstone Funeral Directors from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The Funeral Service will follow the next day, May 22 at the Garland Street Church of Christ starting at 10:30 AM. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. in the Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon, Texas.
