Jerry Don Culifer (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas- Jerry Don Culifer, 77, of Tulia went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church with Rev. John Gillespie officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Jerry was born on June 25, 1945 in Randolph, Texas to Orville and Clidia (Garner) Culifer. The family moved to Tulia when Jerry was a small child. He married Richelle Maxey on September 17, 1976, in Tulia, Texas. He worked as a grain inspector for 39 years before retiring in 2006. Jerry loved being with his children and grandchildren especially when it came to golf, fishing, watching baseball, playing pool and the wedding of his beautiful granddaughter. He enjoyed spending times with his friends at the “coffee shop” telling stories.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Les, Lendol, Wayne and Richard.

Jerry is survived by his wife, his children, Jerry Culifer and wife Yvonne of Beggs, Oklahoma, Sherry Culifer of Tulsa and Charlie Adkins and wife Cecelia of Amarillo; his sister, Lena Watkins of Tulia; his grandchildren, Bret Adkins of Midland, Ansley Dougherty and husband Jarrett of Miami, Kade Adkins of College Station, Keith Hunter of Tulsa and Cody Rose of Tulsa.
