Jesse Martinez, 68, of Plainview passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023. A rosary will be held at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview. A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainview with Father George Poonely officiating followed by interment at Plainview Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Jesse was born on February 4, 1955 in Snyder, Texas to Ramon and Hilaria Martinez. He married the love of his life Neli Martinez on January 24, 1976 in Plainview, Texas. Jesse was a hard worker and owned Hi-Plains Millwright & Supply and served his community for many years as a metal fabricator. He enjoyed western movies and spoiling his grandchildren. He was so loved and will be missed by many friends and family. Jesse is preceded in death by his parents; Ramon and Hilaria Martinez, siblings; Frank and Josie, and one grandchild; Jonathan. Jesse is survived by his wife; Neli Martinez of Plainview, Texas, siblings; Danny, Ray, Juan, Janie, Lupe, Patsy, and Mona, daughter; Jessica Tyson and her husband Brent of Lubbock, Texas, their children; Matthew, Ethan, Aiden, and Emily, son; Jeremy Martinez and wife Vanessa of Plainview, Texas, their children; Jaslynn and Logan, son; Jason Martinez and wife Regina, their children; Alex, Matthew, Maranda, and Marissa.
