Jimmy Joe Barrera (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Jimmy Joe Barrera, 48, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 28, 2018 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Jimmy Joe was born on October 9, 1969 in Colorado City to Maria and Evaristo Barrera. He grew up in Tulia and attended Tulia schools. He worked for Soil Menders for over 25 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Ruben Barrera.

He is survived by his wife: Maria Garcia, three sons: Juan Jaime Barrera, Christobal Rene Barrera and Joe David Barrera, six brothers: Raul, Robert, David, Carlos, John Paul and Victor and six sisters: Elida, Anna, Linda, Blanca, Matilda and Emma, one granddaughter: Niaomi Barrera and one on the way.
