Jody Wayne Stovall, 38, passed away peacefully at his parents home on Wednesday, March 13th, 2024. Visitation with family will be 5-7pm on Sunday, March 17th, 2024. Graveside services will be held at 11am on Monday, March 18th, 2024 at Kress Cemetery in Kress, with Guy Atkinson officiating. Arrangements are under care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas. Jody was born on July 23rd, 1985 in Canyon. He grew up in the Dimmit area. He worked as a personal assistant to several affluent families in Hereford and Amarillo. He worked many years as a Mixologist and was voted 2nd best in 2022 in Amarillo. He also had many other talents in different trades. Everyone who knew Jody could count on his reliability and hard work ethic. Friends and family will attest to his ability to light up a room with his smile and make friends instantly. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Stovall, and his grandparents, Buddy and Mary Lynn Stovall. He is survived by his father and step-mother, Gary and Amy Stovall of Kress, and his mother and step-father, Becky and Doug Proffitt of Dimmitt; his sisters, Amber Mills and Keleigh Stovall of Lubbock; his aunt, Gina Burdette of Kress; Cousins Missy and Mendy and their families in the Kress area, Macy and her family in Gardendale, Texas, aunt; Barbara Hooper, and aunt and uncle; Mike and Lisa Kerbo of Plainview, Jody was also blessed with many other cousins, and of course, numerous friends. The family suggests memorial contributions to Traditions Health Hospice 4300 Olton Road, Plainview, Texas, who so lovingly took such wonderful care of Jody and our family during his last days or Kress Cemetery, PO Box 1194, Kress, Texas 79052, where Jody will be interred.
