Joe Raul Soliz (Plainview)

Joe R. Soliz, 74 of Plainview passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, October 16, 2022. For many years he has had struggles and persevered through them all. He finally made it to his Heavenly Home with his Lord and family that has gone before him. He was loved so deeply by his wife and family. His Children and grandchildren adored him. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 21, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Perkins officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors.

Joe was born on February 20, 1948 in Beeville, Texas to Pedro & Trinidad Soliz. He married Pam Lavonne on August 7, 1996 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Joe graduated from Floydada High School. He worked in Plainview as a Firefighter and Paramedic from 1973-2000 and as a Paramedic in Hale Center from 2005-2020.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Pete Soliz, Felix Soliz, Robert Soliz, Carmen Soliz and Ubaldo Soliz and two sisters, Minnie Soliz and Maria Garza.

He is survived by his wife, Pam Soliz of Plainview; two daughters, Veronica “Roni” Soliz of Plainview and Chelsea Rushing & husband Justin of Plainview; two sons, Santiago Soliz & wife Charity of Plainview and Justin Borum & wife Katie of Plainview; two brothers, Johnny Soliz and Tony Soliz; three sisters, Trinnie Cuellar, Emma Ortiz and Mary Mathos & husband Dominique; his grandchildren, Blake Borum, Ariel Soliz, Evan Rushing, Ava Rushing, Emmy Rushing, Bentley Borum, Kaitlyn Gaither, Emily Castillo, Cassie Castillo and Victoria Crowder and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
