Johnny Stapp (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Johnny Stapp, 77, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, November 19, 2018 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Ernie McGaughey officiating with burial following at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Born and raised in Tulia, he was a well known citizen of Tulia, Johnny would be seen lumbering all over town, smiling and greeting as he made his rounds every day to check on his friends. He had many friends and cherished  each one. Johnny frequent all the diners in town. If there was an eating function in Tulia, Johnny would be there. He had a passion for food and his Dr. Pepper. He also loved collecting ink pens everywhere he went. The people of Tulia have many Guardian Angels, among them Harold and Kathy, that have watched over and nurtured Johnny all his life. For this the family says - Thank you and God Bless! Johnny was a proud member of the Assembly of God Church. He is preceded in death by his parents: Sally Robbins Yearwood Stapp and John Calvin Stapp, his brother: Darrell Stapp and one sister: Charlene Stapp. He is survived by one sister: Robbie Dale Bowman of Oklahoma City, one niece: Debbie Roehn and husband David of Oklahoma City, two nephews: Douglas Bowman of Oklahoma City and Robert  Gibson, two great nieces: Samantha Gibson and Danielle Gibson, one great nephew: Dane Gibson, his cousin: Cherie Holland of Happy and all her family.  Memorials may be made to the Tulia Health and Rehabilitation: 714 S.
