Jose Luis Gonzalez (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas- Jose Luis Gonzalez, 76, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. David Contreras officiating. Services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Jose Luis was born on July 1, 1945 in Robstown, Texas to Andres and Maria (Martinez) Gonzalez. He worked most of his life as a farmhand around Swisher and Hale County. He moved to Abilene and worked at Abilene Cattle Feeders for many years until his retirement. Jose enjoyed fishing all the time.

He is preceded by his parents, Andres and Maria Gonzalez, his siblings, Andrea Padilla, Hilario “Lalo” Gonzalez, Gloria Rodriguez, Mary Helen Gonzalez, David Gonzalez and Andres Gonzalez, Jr.

He is survived his sons; Joe Daniel Gonzales and wife Nancy, Albert Gonzales and wife Gabby, and Joe Luis Gonzales and wife Ninfa, his significant other, Geneva Ocann; his siblings, Ruben Gonzalez, Jessie Gonzalez, Esther Serna, and Agrora Yorse, 18 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and one on the way.
