Joshua Edric Perez, 43, of Plainview passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, April 7, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview

Viewing will be held from 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 4, 2025 to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview. A rosary will be held at 6:30 P.M. on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview.

Beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and friend. You are loved so much, yet nothing can compare to the love you showed to others. Always present to help those around you, without hesitation, shining your light so bright. The darkness fears you, the world needs you, and now your light shines down from above.

Joshua was a loving and kind person who loved his family unconditionally. He had future plans to accomplish a lot of things in his life and will be missed more than words can express. We will cherish the memories he gave us.

Joshua is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Abelardo "El Gallo" & Julia Olbeda, paternal grandfather; Raul Perez, nephew; John Michael Perez, cousin; Michael "Dunk" Olbeda, uncle; Ramiro Flores, and step grandson; Greyson Salinas.

Joshua is survived by his parents; Albert & Anna Perez, paternal grandmother; Virginia Perez, brother; Nicholas and wife Katherine, and children Zachary, Stella, Charlotte & Malcom, sister; Elysia Perez, his beloved children; stepdaughter; Kaylynn Ortiz, stepson; Justin Ortiz, step grandchildren; Sirius Salinas and Alaia Lilliana Ortiz, maternal uncle; Adan O Olbeda and wife Janie, his children; Michelle and husband Lee Rios, Laura and husband Joe Garcia, Adan Olbeda, Joe Albert and wife Jodi Casillas, Adam Orta, and of course their children, paternal uncles & aunts; Janie & Mike Martin, Augustine & Young Perez, Raul & Rita Perez, Virginia & Richard Chucovich, Aracelia Perez, Ninfa & Ernie Hernandez, Manuel & Josie Perez, Ricardo & Tonia Perez, Alfredo & Carol Perez, Laiza Perez, Felicia & Johnny Lopez as well as their children.
