Joyce LaVerne Overstreet 64, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Petersburg, Texas with Rev. Roger Foote officiating. Interment will follow in Petersburg Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2022 at the funeral home.

Joyce was born on October 9, 1957 in Lubbock, Texas to Leslie Duane & Shirley Winnell (Beard) Overstreet. Joyce grew up in Petersburg, Tx and graduated Class of 1976. She was saved at a young age at First Baptist Church in Petersburg. Joyce had various jobs, but her favorite career was truck driving. After moving to Plainview she was a member of Colonial Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Overstreet; her daughter, Joscelyn Caudle and her brother, Ken Overstreet.

She is survived by her father, Les Overstreet of Petersburg, TX; two daughters, Jessica Smith & husband Kenny of McKinney, TX and Jillian Butolph & husband Troy of Eureka CA; one brother, Charles Overstreet & wife Kathy of Floydada, TX; one sister, Elaine Foote & husband Roger of Plainview, TX; three grandchildren, Ashton Jacobs & wife Kirstin, Sage Clee and Emma Clee; two great grandchildren, Jaxx Jacobs and Baby Leo Jacobs due in September; her fiancée, Johnie Smith of Kress, TX  and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

The family suggest memorials be made to Petersburg Public Library P.O. Box 65, Petersburg, TX 79250 or a Charity of Choice.
