Juanita R. Soliz (Plainview)

Juanita R. Soliz, 92, of Plainview, Texas died on Friday, April 26, 2019. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Jim McCartney officiating.  Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

A visitation will be held Monday evening from 6-7 P.M. followed by a Rosary at 7 P.M. in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel.

Juanita was born on October 27, 1926 in Rosebud, Texas to Eleno and Sophia (Perez) Riojas. She grew up in the Waco area.  She married Johnny G. Soliz on July 5, 1949 in Plainview, Texas.  Juanita was a homemaker and enjoyed being the CEO of their household.  She loved cooking, reading, coloring, and gardening.  She also loved watching game shows on TV.  Her greatest joy came from taking care of her children and grandchildren.  She was long time member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainview.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Johnny G. Soliz; two daughters, Rosemary Soliz and Yolanda Soliz; and two brothers and a sister, Tomas Riojas, Eleno Riojas and Elena Riojas; and two grandchildren, Kirsten Sanderson and Temo Flores.

Her survivors include seven children, Sammy Soliz and wife Estela of Whiteface, Robert Soliz and wife Lupe of Whiteface, Linda Rodriguez and husband Onofre of Plainview, Rudy Soliz and wife Carol of Plainview, Hope Sanderson of Amarillo, Roseanna DeLeon of Plainview, Josie Hennek and husband Pete of Grapevine; one brother, Augustine Riojas of Waco; 28 Grandchildren, 69 Great Grandchildren, and 5 Great Great Grandchildren
