June was born on September 21, 1932 in Plainview to Walter and Virginia Patterson. She grew up in Hale Center and then attended Plainview High School where she was a cheerleader and a member of the student council. June was a proud homemaker and loved taking care of her family. Her niece Julie put it best when she wrote that “June had her mother’s talent and her daddy’s fierceness. She could rustle up breakfast for 20 hungry farmhands, drive any piece of equipment on the place, make a beautiful prom dress, herd the cattle back in the fence that got out at 6 A.M., and have supper on the table on time!” June loved her “LoL” Bible study group. It was a group of friends that gave her so much joy and happiness. June was the 4-H club’s best friend and worker writing demonstrations for kids. She was a member of the First Methodist Church and a member of the Open Door Sunday School class. She also served on several PTA’s as president over the years. June was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Thomas Terrell; son, Terry Terrell; brother, Gayland Patterson; son-in-law, Rick Riddle. Survivors include her daughter Debbie Riddle of Plainview; son, Patt Terrell and wife Darlene of Plainview; six grandchildren, Ryan Riddle and wife Jennifer, Trent Riddle and wife Meredith, Melissa Burns, T.J. Terrell and wife Kendra, Rebekah Fulenwider and husband Tyler, Austin Terrell; and 13 great grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thanks to June’s marvelous care givers though out the years. Santa Fe Place, Connie’s Compassionate Care, and Interim Hospice. Extra special thanks to Tammy Schank, Connie Espinoza, and Francis Amaya. The family suggests memorials to the First Methodist Church, 1001 W. 7th St., Plainview, Texas 79072.
