Kathy Lynn Griffin, 71, of Plainview passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in the Kornerstone Chapel.  Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Kathy was born on August 3, 1949 in Silverton, Texas to Amos and Ruth Shadix.  She grew up in Plainview and attended school.  She married Billy Griffin on June 21, 1977 in Plainview.  She served as the office manager for Hale County Abstract for 25 years.  She loved her dogs, to fish, and little league baseball.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and a great grandchild, Mickey Sanchez

Kathy is survived by her husband, Billy Griffin of Plainview; one daughter, Melissa Hicks of Floydada; one sister, Linda Rendon of Plainview; one brother, Derald Shadix and wife Cindy of Plainview; 2 grandchildren, Dusty Hicks and wife Abbey of Miles, TX, Libby Kay Sanchez and husband Andrew of Wilson; 3 great grandchildren, Calvin Hicks, Thomas Hicks, Hank Sanchez; and her dogs, Anna Bell and Ziva.
