Kathy Lynette Welch (Tulia)

Kathy Lynette Welch, 64, of Idaho passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Silverton Cemetery in Silverton, Texas. Graveside services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 4 to 6 P.M. at Kornerstone. Kathy was born on August 18, 1959 in Lockney, Texas to Carroll and Judy (Burson) Welch. She attended special education classes in Tulia public school. Kathy also attended the Satellite Center for disabled children. She worked at Grandy's restaurant at the Tulia truck stop for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kress. She resided on the farm with her parents Carroll and Judy until the passing of her father in 2006. Kathy later resided with her sister Donna and her husband John in Idaho. While living in Idaho, she attended programs for the disabled such as TESH and a participant for “SNR” Specialized Needs and Recreation. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister, Donna, and husband John of Idaho, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
