Kyle Limmer (Plainview)

Kyle Limmer passed away on May 7, 2023 in Plainview, Texas at the age of 63. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him most. The family will have a small memorial service and per Kyle’s wishes, a fly over at the family farm in Sparenburg, Texas will take place in his memory. Kyle Glen Limmer was born in Lamesa, Texas on November 12, 1959 to Alvin and Ann (Lentz) Limmer. The family lived in Lamesa and farmed on the family farm at Sparenburg, Texas. Kyle graduated from Lamesa High School in May of 1978. Kyle remained in Lamesa for the majority of his young adult life and welcomed his only son in March 8, 1988. Before Kyle was able to get his hardship to drive, he obtained his pilot license. Kyle loved flying, motorcycles and scuba diving. He was 6 hours away from having 20,000 hours logged in Air Tractor and just under 30,000 total hours logged in an airplane and certified many as a scuba instructor. He loved to fly and travel to Cozumel on scuba trips! In July of 2021, Kyle became very ill with a variety of symptoms that led to an amputation of part of his leg. This didn’t slow him down for long. Kyle was determined to do what it took to fly again, and he did. Kyle is survived by his son Kurtis Limmer of Lubbock, his sister Ranada Jack and husband Jimmy of Plainview, Nephew Jason Jack and wife Tay of Tulia, Nephew Jeremy Jack of Plainview, Niece Lacy Kerbo and husband Kelly of Plainview as well as aunts, uncles, great nieces, great nephews and many friends.
